Warner Bros. Games has released the official launch trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, a new LEGO Batman adventure that is coming to stores soon.
The trailer has particularly caught attention due to the use of the legendary song “Kiss from a Rose” by Seal, known from the soundtrack of the 1995 film Batman Forever. The video showcases numerous new gameplay and cinematic scenes and follows Bruce Wayne's journey from the creation of Batman to his status as Gotham's protector.
The new LEGO adventure brings an original story inspired by decades of Batman films, comics, television series, and video games, combining the DC universe with recognizable LEGO humor.
Alongside Batman, players will be able to play as:
Robin
Nightwing
Batgirl
Jim Gordon
Catwoman
Talia al Ghul
Of course, Gotham will once again not be without danger, as players will clash with numerous well-known villains such as the Joker, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, Ra’s al Ghul, and Bane.
The game is being developed by TT Games, a studio known for LEGO adaptations of major franchises, and this time the developers promise the “largest LEGO Batman experience” yet with an open-world approach and a completely new story.
Pre-orders are already available for the Standard and Deluxe Edition versions of the game. Customers of the Deluxe edition will receive up to 72 hours of early access, allowing them to play as early as May 19.
Everyone who pre-orders the game will receive The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit inspired by Frank Miller's iconic comic, while users with a Warner Bros. Games account can unlock the Golden Age Batsuit.
Warner Bros. has also introduced four new LEGO DC Batman sets related to the game. Buyers of certain LEGO sets will be able to unlock exclusive golden skins and special versions of the Batmobile within the game itself.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight releases on May 22, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, while the Nintendo Switch 2 version will arrive later in 2026.
