Find out why Mixtape will not be removed from sale due to music licenses.

Every game with licensed music from the real world, featuring prominent car brands or football clubs, is at risk of being removed from the list and sales once those licenses expire, but that won't happen with Mixtape, for the reason that its developers have paid forever for its surprisingly excellent soundtrack.

Creative director Johnny Galvatron says that the developers Beethoven and Dinosaur have paid extra to ensure that the music licenses for Mixtape do not expire, hoping to protect it from being deleted from digital 'showcases' in a few years.

''We've heard some people say that Mixtape will be removed due to the expiration of music licenses," publisher Annapurna Interactive recently tweeted, adding "That was a lie. I wish everyone a pleasant weekend."

Mixtape is a new adventure game that follows three high school students in the 1990s as they spend their last hours together, fondly reminiscing about all the little moments that made up their adolescence while trying to secure alcohol for a celebrated party. The game is set to music appropriate for that era, which accompanies the coming-of-age story and its wonderfully playful magical mini-games that enhance the feeling of each moment.

Mixtape is one of the highest-rated video games of this year, and it will certainly compete for Game of the Year.
