White Shark has expanded its gaming peripheral offering with a new USB microphone Ektara, a model aimed at streamers, gamers, podcasters, and anyone looking for an affordable entry into the world of content creation.
Ektara comes with dual condenser capsules and supports cardioid and omnidirectional modes, meaning it can adapt to various usage scenarios. The cardioid mode primarily focuses on the user's voice, while the omnidirectional mode captures sound from a wider area, which can be useful for conversations, podcasts, or recording multiple people at once.
The microphone supports recording at resolutions up to 192 kHz / 24-bit, and also offers USB-C connectivity and RGB lighting that will fit well into most modern gaming setups. Control is executed via touch controls on the top, along with a gain knob at the bottom.
According to the manufacturer, Ektara is designed as a versatile solution for streaming, podcasting, online meetings, and video content creation.
At a price of 49.90 euros, it is a model that aims to offer more functionality than is typically expected in this price range.
