We bring you some news from the world of video games that Virus.hr has not covered so far, and that are worth noting!

This week, the gaming scene brought several interesting announcements and returns of cult franchises. The biggest attention was drawn by the creator of the Dragon Quest series, Yuji Horii, who confirmed a special livestream for the 40th anniversary of the series scheduled for May 27, 2026. During the broadcast, the presentation of the "next game" is expected, which is why many believe we will finally see new information about Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate.

A big surprise also came from Cygames, which has re-registered the trademark for Lost Order nearly nine years after the closed beta ended. This is an RPG/tactical project created in collaboration with PlatinumGames, and the new trademark immediately sparked speculation about a possible return of the game.

Racing enthusiasts also got their share as it has been confirmed that Endurance Motorsport Series is coming this summer for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. The new project from KT Racing focuses on endurance racing, team strategy, and communication between drivers and the pit.

The retro scene also received important news – Atari has officially acquired the rights to the first five games from the legendary RPG series Wizardry. The company is already mentioning possible remasters, collections, and new releases, which has delighted fans of one of the most influential RPG series in the history of video games.

Finally, the new members of the World Video Game Hall of Fame for 2026 have been announced. This year, Angry Birds, Dragon Quest, FIFA International Soccer, and Silent Hill joined the prestigious company, further confirming their impact and importance in the history of gaming.
