FuRyu is bringing the Japanese fantasy RPG EXSTETRA back in a remastered edition with its first worldwide release outside of Japan.

FuRyu has announced that the remastered version of the fantasy RPG EXSTETRA will be released on July 30, 2026, for PC via Steam. Versions for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch are also in development, but do not yet have a confirmed release date.

EXSTETRA was originally released in 2013 in Japan for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS, and the remaster will mark the first release of the game outside the Japanese market. The game will support Japanese, English, traditional Chinese, and simplified Chinese languages.

This is a fantasy RPG set in Amazea, a version of Tokyo connected to another world and doomed to destruction. The main character, Ryoma, is a high school student who becomes the chosen savior known as Prisma. To save the world, he must awaken the Prisma Knights allies, and a key role in this is played by an unusual kiss mechanic.

In battles, Ryoma collects EXS energy by defeating enemies, and then shares it with his allies. The game also includes an Enchant system, which allows various abilities and special effects to be added to equipment. Along with the announcement of the release date, an introductory video for the game has also been released.
