Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee is a title from 2002 that was released on GameCube, original XBOX, and Game Boy Advance, and now it's time to return in a new guise for modern platforms. The original development team Pipeworks and the original publisher Atari have joined forces again to bring us a remaster in Unreal Engine 5 titled Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered.
"It’s a true sense of responsibility to work on a series like Godzilla, especially when it comes to the beloved Destroy All Monsters Melee. It’s fitting that Atari, as the original publisher from 2002, teams up again with Pipeworks, the original development team of experts on the famous Kaiju creature, to bring this title back to players, and this time it will be bigger, better, and have more destruction than before," said Atari's chief creative officer Mike Mika in an official statement.
Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered features eight locations that will cycle (day-night cycle) and will also allow us to play local co-op and for the first time online. Each monster will have its own unique attacks. The visuals have been built from the ground up to deliver a cinematic experience compared to the original.
Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered will be released on November 3, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X/S at a price of 30 euros, while PS5 and Switch 2 will also receive physical copies.
