New details have been revealed about the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which is set to arrive on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC this October. Players will have the opportunity to try out the title before its release through a beta test starting in late August.
The first beta weekend will take place from August 21 to August 25 and will be available to players who pre-order the game on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, or PC. The open beta will run from August 28 to September 1, during which players on all supported platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, will be able to access it without the need for a pre-order.
On the same day the first beta weekend starts, August 21, Call of Duty: Next will take place, a major event showcasing gameplay, presenting new information about multiplayer, and revealing additional details about the game.
Owners of Nintendo Switch 2 will have to wait a bit longer for pre-orders, which begin on August 26.
Activision has also revealed a special bonus for players who pre-order Modern Warfare 4. If they pre-order the game before the start of Season 5 of Black Ops 7, players will immediately receive the Moonlit Pearl Universal Camo, as well as a challenge to unlock the Gilded Ruin Universal Camo. The first 100,000 players who complete the challenge will also receive a specially stylized version of the camo, which can be used in Modern Warfare 4 after its release.
