The independent Chinese studio Jotoyo Games has introduced Monster Fantasy, a new premium RPG and life sim for PC seeking support through Kickstarter. The game combines free action combat, exploration, monster taming, village management, and relaxed everyday activities, all in a colorful chibi visual style.
Monster Fantasy is set in the Kingdom of Eldoras, a vast fantasy world filled with unusual creatures, from nine-tailed foxes and griffins to fire dragons. Players will be able to create their own hero, explore the world solo or in online multiplayer, hunt powerful monsters, and socialize with the villagers. Between battles, they can fish, cook, craft potions, build homes, and develop a more peaceful part of life in the village.
The uniqueness of the game lies in the fact that combat and life sim elements function separately, allowing players to choose whether they want to focus more on hunting or the relaxed development of the community. Defeated monsters will not always be just enemies; they can be tamed, used in exploration and combat, and some can even be ridden. The combat system includes four classes: warrior, mage, archer, and swordsman.
