The unusual family console Nex Playground after an excellent debut performance in the USA, is coming to Europe. If you are not familiar with it, it is a device that was one of the top 3 best-selling consoles in the American market last holiday season and this event also marked the first time in history that someone "outperformed" the big names (Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo).
Unfortunately, Nex has remained an unknown name in many parts of the world due to its exclusivity (only for the USA), however, there are plans to expand into the European market and players from the UK and Ireland will have the opportunity to purchase it, with pre-orders starting today at a price of 319 euros and the launch planned for June.
Nex Playground presents itself as a family console with its design and, unlike its rivals, focuses on body movement gameplay similar to the former Xbox device Kinect or Sony's Eye Toy and PlayStation Move. The console features a camera that you can cover when not in use, and all games are designed for couch co-op, meaning you cannot play online.
What sets it apart further is the fact that you do not purchase games through a store, but rather there is a subscription for three months or a year that allows you access to games without additional costs.
