Discover FPS Quest, a game where more FPS means more health. Get ready for challenges and optimization of settings!

We have all encountered a game at least once that caused problems for our computer and made us spend hours and hours studying, testing, and "tweaking" settings to squeeze out at least a little extra FPS.

FPS Quest is one of those games, but not because it is graphically demanding or poorly optimized, but because in this game, more FPS means more health. Yes, you read that right, every time you make a mistake and lose at least a little health, the game becomes slower and less playable, and this continues until the entire game completely falls apart and crashes.

But don't lose hope because in this game, settings are your best friend. To "heal" yourself, you can always reduce the textures of walls, floors, enemies, and the weapons you use. It sounds good, but it's not all that great because if you overdo it, the end result often is the disappearance of parts of the map such as walls and floors, making the game increasingly difficult.

To make the game easier for yourself and also create a more original gameplay, the developer encourages the use of scripts and glitches that you can find while playing levels and notes that as you progress through the game, enemies become more and more "glitched" (And yes, the Croatian language is truly beautiful when such words actually make sense).

Throughout the game, you also have the option to choose whether you want new "settings," global upgrades, or alternative weapons after each level, while different "factions" try to change the course of the game. The Patch Engine Developers are trying to keep the mod alive while also making some money, The Out of Bounds, or the monetization and "difficulty" enemies, who reveal secrets and shortcuts to you, The Custodians, the embodiment of the original developer, or the "glitch" and "cheat" enemies, and last but not least, The Null Process, a broken AI whose main goal is to stop you so it can take a little break (Honestly, relatable).

The game currently does not have a release date announced, but rumors say it should come out in 2026. This crazy concept is the idea of the team from Farlight Games Industry studio, and when you first launch the game, be careful, because as the developer would say: “Optimizing is risky.”
