Broken Sword - The Smoking Mirror: Reforged is getting physical editions for consoles

Red Art Games has announced physical editions of the adventure Broken Sword - The Smoking Mirror: Reforged for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. Standard editions will be available with PEGI and ESRB ratings, except for the Xbox Series X version which will receive only a PEGI release. According to the official statement, physical editions are expected to arrive on February 19, 2026, although the announcement itself was made on July 21, 2026, which raises the possibility of an error in the release date. The standard edition, distributed by Meridiem Games, will include a manual and packaging tailored to the language of each market.

Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 will also receive a very limited Deluxe edition, available exclusively through the Red Art Games online store in only 500 PEGI copies. The package includes the game, a special cover featuring artwork from the original release, music on CD, a keychain with a pixel-art depiction of Nico Collard, and a printed manual. Broken Sword - The Smoking Mirror: Reforged brings revamped graphics in up to 4K resolution, improved sound, the ability to instantly switch between the original version from 1997 and the new visual presentation, renewed dialogues, and traditional and simplified gameplay with additional hints. The game will be fully synchronized in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
