Bandai Namco has confirmed that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has sold five million copies, making it the fastest-selling title in the history of the series. The game was developed by the Spike Chunsoft team and was released on October 11, 2024. It is also the first new title in the Budokai Tenkaichi series in the last 15 years.

Players can choose from a roster of 182 characters consisting of well-known heroes as well as villains from the popular anime and manga franchise.
