Electronic Arts released EA Sports UFC 6 on June 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The new installment of the UFC series brings a technological leap in the depiction of fighters, fights, and contact in the octagon, with an emphasis on more realistic animations, greater individuality of each fighter, and richer single-player content.
UFC 6 utilizes Markerless Capture and Sapien Technology to make UFC stars look, move, and react more convincingly than in previous installments. Electronic Arts emphasizes that each fighter now has a more recognizable style, which should be felt through strikes, movement, reactions, and the way the fight develops from round to round.
One of the main innovations is Flow State, a system that introduces 30 unique fighter states based on their real strengths, habits, and fighting intelligence. Players who leverage the advantages of a specific fighter, whether it’s pressure, countering, or ground dominance, can build momentum and unlock additional advantages during the fight.
Real-Time Contact has also been introduced, a new contact system based on Frostbite technology. It brings improved reactions to strikes, more precise contact windows, more visible damage consequences, and more convincing body physics. The goal is for exchanges of strikes to feel fairer, clearer, and more brutal.
Among the new modes, Hall of Legends stands out, an experience that explores the careers of three UFC legends through a combination of real footage, cinematic scenes, and playable segments. There is also The Legacy, an interactive introduction to Career Mode where players follow the rise of MMA fighter Chris Carter from the regional scene to the UFC.
Career Mode has also been expanded. Players can use their own fighter, an existing UFC star, or Chris Carter, and decisions now have a greater impact on career development. Electronic Arts states that the new system offers ten times more decisions than UFC 5, with the possibility of fighting for two belts simultaneously and for the BMF belt.
UFC 6 also introduces crossplay between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles for the first time in the series' history, meaning players on both platforms can fight each other in online modes.
Ultimate Edition includes instant access to Randy Couture and Ken Shamrock, Fighter Pass, Expansion Pass, VIP Pass, and additional bonuses. EA Play members on PlayStation and Xbox can try UFC 6 for up to 10 hours, and a time-limited EA Play Welcome Pack with cosmetic additions is also available.
