As the end of the season approaches, the focus in EA Sports FC 26 is slowly shifting to the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, and the first themed content has already been revealed. It is a promo event Festival of Football: Answer the Call, in which players will receive improvements if they are invited to the national teams for the World Cup. All selected players will receive +1 overall and an additional PlayStyle+, so many will have a total of three such boosts. Among the names almost certainly expected at the tournament are Jude Bellingham, Julián Álvarez, Nico Williams, João Neves, Xavi Simons and Ryan Gravenberch. The promo officially starts on Friday, when additional details are expected, including new players in packs and content through SBCs and Objectives.
