Neil Druckmann, the president of Naughty Dog and one of the main creative minds behind The Last of Us series, started speculation about the third continuation of the game with a post on Instagram. Druckmann posted two sketches from 2003 showing a man and a young girl, early versions of what would become Joel and Ellie after years of development. The sketches are interesting in themselves, but the real cause for excitement is Druckmann's description of the post. The description reads "It's been a wild ride. I'm grateful for every part of it, especially the few stops ahead." Immediately there was a wave of speculation about the third continuation of the series, but Druckmann did not give any direct confirmation.
